"Mommy, I ain't eating anything!! Try all you want! There's no way anything is getting into this mouth!!"
Yup, that's the news of the weekend. My kid's on a some sort of a food strike! Considering how much I love to eat, I wonder where he gets it from...
He've decided that he no longer needs any more food and minimal milk. And it's just a waste of time and effort to eat...err...unless it's Cheerios! I GIVE UP!!! Each time I try to feed him something, he would start swinging his hands in the attempts of knocking the spoon, screaming, whinning and crying all at the same time(when you think about it, he's pretty good about the multi-tasking thing!!). Not only that, he would also clamp his mouth shut! Ok....I know I'm no Iron Chef..but hey.....you can't screw up baby food!!!
In any case, I've given up hope of feeding him his usual food and would just give him his milk and cheerios. I figure that if he's hungry, he'd eat again....*PRAY* And NO! I'm not abusing my child, it's just that he doesn't want to eat and force feeding him WOULD be abusing him. On the bright side, he's still eating Cheerios!!!
Meanwhile, I'll be praying that he will get hungry soon and get his appetite back.....poor baby! Someone told me that he might be teething which might have cause his loss of appetite....err....does it cause temper tantrums too????
Tomorrow is another llllloooonnnnngggg dayyyyyyyy.....*sigh*

I think E's loss of appetite and temper tanturm are due to his teething probs...think about it, when an adult has a tooth ache or when their wisdom teeth are coming out don't they feel like being in a grouchy mood and not eating??? So why wouldn't the same apply to kids??? Ever consider giving him some cold stuff to suck on? make juice popsciles...they might help
Awww...Ethan looks so adorable with his new hair cut (yeah even with his mouth shut). :)
Perhaps you can try Gerber fruit bar, it's very soft and more nutricious. Evy was eating less at that age too and now starting to pick up on her food again. Don't know whether it's a phase thing. Anyway, good luck!
