All Grown Up

This morning I went into my baby's room to get him ready for his milk. He was wide awake and playing in his crib when I got there. " Sunshine boy...." I called and he looked up and smiled at me, his two teeth showing ever so clearly. He looked so different this morning....he's got his first haircut yesterday........
He's no longer my little baby boy, he's now a toddler with his first big boy haircut. No longer the long hair covering his ears and bangs tickling his long eyelashes. He's got a shorter do which made his face look a whole lot more elongated. It was both pleasurable and saddening to see my little boy. No longer a baby....that's all I could think. In my heart, I'll always miss the long hair, his baby hair, but I know I would have to let that go. He's now a big boy and with new adventures awaiting for him.
